Welcome to the Reo Rua Ltd. website. Here, you'll find more information about the Māori language education, training, and consultancy services I provide — locally within the Wairarapa –Wellington regions, nationally across Aotearoa New Zealand, and internationally.

My professional background spans education, professional development, curriculum design and development, and language teaching. I am a language and culture enthusiast and have taught English, Te Reo Māori, Spanish, and Italian to learners of all ages. Over the past nine years, my work has focused strongly on adult and community education.

Some highlights from my career include:

• Teaching languages in Rome, Italy, for three years

• Designing the Māori language curriculum for one of New Zealand’s largest Community Education centres, which was nominated for a National Māori Language Award

• Creating the curriculum for the ‘Poua Reo’ course, run by Rangitāne Tū Mai Rā Trust, to reconnect local kaumātua with their heritage and language

• Serving as a regular columnist for the national ECE Space magazine, supporting early childhood educators to integrate more Te Reo Māori in their teaching

• Providing cultural advice and consultancy to European Ambassadors and Embassies based in New Zealand

• Speaking and singing at the international ANZAC events in Rome, Italy hosted by the New Zealand Embassy to Italy (2023 and 2025)

Beyond my professional work, I have a deep love for travel, good food, and all things creative. Most importantly, I am constantly inspired by my beloved whānau—especially my husband and our darling children. They are my greatest champions, and I couldn’t do what I do without their unwavering support.
